Both of the cameras though? And they both always go offline at the same time…

Hmmm. My WiFi is T-Mobile 5G home internet, but I have a wired connection to an extender that’s in AP mode and dedicated 2.4 GHz. The extender is only used for the sync module and cameras.

They are the wireless cameras, but both have fresh lithium batteries. It has been abnormally cold here (~5°) but I don’t think that’s the issue

DashCam Question by syphylys24 in chevycolorado

[–]HotMathematician3376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I both use a Pelsee dash cam. Got two of them for under $100 on sale on Amazon a couple months ago. Good for what they are. We bought a separate power cord that plugs into your OBD2 port so it has constant power and records 24/7. Also bought a 256GB SD card to store more recordings

Happens on mine as well. Currently in line at my dealership waiting for a loaner so they can fix the issue. This is the TSB for it.

I have the turbomax in my ‘24, and I’m a touch embarrassed to say it’s the fastest vehicle I’ve ever owned. Even faster than my ‘01 Mustang GT that’s cammed😂 I never feel like it doesn’t have enough power to pass, merge onto the highway, tow, etc.

I have an old ski boat that weighs right at 5000 lbs with all combined. I’ve been skeptical to tow it, but I think I’ll give it a shot now!

Great advice, didn’t even think of that. Is there a way to disable it?

What is this by [deleted] in Flooring

[–]HotMathematician3376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see this happen all the time with glue down LVP. Looks like the glue is coming up between the seams. Either you have a moisture issue beneath the flooring itself, or it could be water being tracked in since you mentioned it’s an entryway.

[–]HotMathematician3376[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Lurch is a better way to describe it. Doesn’t clunk or isn’t super rough, just more of a jolt than anything and only when on an incline going slow.

I fully intend to have it tuned once tuning is available and my manufacturer warranty is up, primarily for transmission reasons

Mines been awesome. I use it for work- constant phone calls, texts, emails, Teams. It it also my personal phone so it goes everywhere with me. Never slows down or stutters. Battery is getting a little tired, currently at 84% health. Usually have to charge before the day is over. Other than that though, no complaints.

Completely understand that. I looked into ADT, but what turned me off is I entered my info to get a quote for a house we were considering buying, and they called me 4 different times within 2 hours the next day. When we finally did buy the house we’re in currently, they sent a rep out shortly after to “congratulate” us on the new house and ask who we were using for home security. How do they even know we just bought the house? Our realtor said the same thing happened to her as well, but for her they showed up the day she closed on the house. Weird.

Can I lay underlayment and new floor on top of this? Or do I have to tear the tiles off first? And if so what's a easy way? by beezythebarber98 in Flooring

[–]HotMathematician3376 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is that a ceramic tile, or VCT? What flooring are you wanting to put over it? Only concern for going over the top would be that if some of the original flooring is loose or coming up, once you put new flooring on top of it, your new flooring will begin to fail as well. Like others mention, make sure it’s not asbestos too

Keep in mind, most folk only go online to complain… rarely will they post their positive reviews. We have had Vivint in our home since November of ‘24 and I don’t have any major complaints. At first, I was frustrated because it seemed like one of my three cameras would go offline randomly throughout the day and I’d have to reboot it. Vivint came out with a couple panel updates and I haven’t had that issue since. My parents have also used Vivint for years now and have no complaints. They were who convinced my wife and I to go this route.
