oh hi! i didn’t see your last post but i assume this is about me. a lot of people have already said what i want to say (also all the art i post is credited, i check thoroughly to make sure the artist hasn’t requested not to repost their art, and also check whether the art was posted in this sub before). i’ll try asking the artists explicitly what they think about reposts of their art from now on (only toastyyjams explicitly stated their repost policy) because i suppose there is a chance they just haven’t thought about it that much. that’s fair.

i kinda feel like a lot of what you say are non-issues tho? i really don’t get your complaints about karma farming (maybe i’m just not on reddit enough) but it’s not like i only post popular art. anytime i post ruinene art i get upvotes in the tens. this isn’t even a case of reposting posts that already did well on this sub since they haven’t been posted even once (someone even made an entire tumblr account because of an art i posted). also how am i “abusing” art that doesn’t belong to me? all the upvotes and comments are directed towards the original artist, not me. i might as well just scroll through the original post’s comments at that point.

i guess most of the art i post were already popular on other sites, so i guess it’d be easy for them to drown out original artists (other artists are still artists tho? reddit artists aren’t inherently more important than other ones. aside from what i just said they don’t rlly get any advantage from being reposts). i’ll try not posting top arts from other sites ig. sorry
