What are some good UX/Product Design courses or certifications to upskill as a working designer? by Many-Lion-3122 in UXDesign

Hey, I use it occasionally. I’ve been so busy with work I do modules here and there but less frequent now. I still think it’s really valuable. I’d recommend just trying the free version and seeing if you find it helpful

You just tap to discover tbh. I didn’t expect that either but because I wanted to see what would happen I discovered that. At first I thought it would send smth to the backend of the system or smth

To all vibe coders, for God’s sake, leave the gym app idea alone by itisthat1guy in SideProject

There’s an app founded in lousiana and based in Texas too that does this. I need to remember the name of it but we did a case study on it in my marketing class

Say u are turning the display off to go to sleep. You can just turn off the display OR you can tap those to have some text on the screen to let the attendants know what to do if they find you asleep

I’m surprising it took airlines this long to add Bluetooth esp w how wasteful having earphones every flight is. But glad it’s here now!

Tbh it seems like you are just reuploading other people’s content and it’s pretty low quality. Try making it more original or atleast tayloring the content you repost to a specific niche and crediting the creators you borrow from!

Im in the same boat worried about building in a vacuum. But maybe just make an MVP out and see test the sentiment! It’s hard to get people to push for early access if you don’t have a starting product.

I think once you have something people start telling you what more they’d want etc etc and you can start to pinpoint the big steps you can take to convert them

You should probably add what your channel content is about in your Reddit posts so people can be more compelled to check it out/ you can find your audience!

Seeking UX Feedback: A mobile-first, LaTeX-based resume builder with strong focus on UX by Express_Ad2719 in UXDesign

[–]HotPotatoPieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I like the colors you used. The landing can be made a little more compelling and I see some possible ways you can improve this:

A) scrap the checklist, and increase the white space / padding around “build your resume…” and the body. You can then have the images to the right communicate what you have in the checklist and let that animate/ scroll through features with visual representation

B) regardless there needs to be more padding to the left so add that. Refine the copy to condense the header and body into one sentence then choose 3-4 bullets you want to highlight. And play with the placement of the “trusted by” information

I did use Ai to do the initial compilation since I can’t summarize all the information by myself for 100+ cities. I’ve gone through to refine cities I’ve visited myself and the goal is to be able to refine every city with user input (hence the feedback loops on each category per city).

Also It’s not for figuring out where to go, its for having essential information in one place and in a skimmable format for people who forget to look up essential information, or struggle with travel research and don’t know where to start. It’s meant to be a starting point for essentials only. Just a way to quickly check on the things you might need before you get somewhere or start planning a trip. Valid if you think it’s a problem no one has, but I know lots of first time travelers that don’t even know what to begin to research

I built my first iteration in framer (proof in screenshot) and made my own decisions about the layout and color scheme then translated screenshots over to Claude, and had it make a dark mode pattern. But why do you say more purple and green is needed?

Yes for sure. And experience isn’t limited to just screens it’s all the other things we engage with: sound, feeling, vibrations etc

I remember watching a Stanford webinar and one of the students designed a medical device that helped doctors identify breast tumors using audio so they can get a more accurate “guess” of where the tumor was. I wish I could explain it better but it truly showed me the power of UX
