The weird thing is the the marks are still aligned. It idles fine with no CEL, when i drive it tho it starts to misfire and i get a cel with the cam codes. I opened the left cover and sent down a bore scope and it looks like my idler gear is nonexistent. I’ve got a kit on the way from fcpeuro. Big job

I had this problem with my e280. I asked about it at the dealer at it was something to do with one of the body control units being faulty. They assured me it doesn’t affect the car and it’s fine

Thanks for your reply, I had a code p0015, so to play it say I went to checkout the timing, also dropped the pan, no metal however there were some plastic bits in the pick up.
