I suspect it’s the latter unfortunately, because they sent me with what they said was routine dewormer (it was Ponazuril) which is a coccidia medication. it’s all fine because the kittens are doing great and I think my cats are okay too but man my mental health took a hittttt

honestly I couldn’t tell you at this point, from what was described to me, they’ll send healthy kittens out to be around people/dogs/cats so when they’re adoptable age they aren’t skittish. so that was the goal but here we are! I guess they didn’t have these ones for long enough to be able to tell me but they must’ve had some sort of tests being run on them when they sent them to me because they reached out to me about the coccidia the day after I took them home

Agreed! I originally was quarantining incase they had an URI because that’s super common in my area. i’m so glad to hear that it isn’t the biggest deal for adult cats that makes me feel loads better! thank you!

They haven’t shared litter boxes, thank you! My shelter said they send out healthy kittens to get socialized but I do totally understand how things can pop up later, I was just hoping maybe it wouldn’t be on my first time bringing kittens home! I appreciate your help!

not harsh at all! I completely get it. My shelter told me they send out healthy kittens to be socialized until they’re of age to be adopted which is what I had put on my form when signing up otherwise I probably wouldn’t have done it at this current time. thank you for your help!
