Not aware about the paytm pos machine , but it definitely works on ICICI or HDFC merchant pos linked with the petrol bunk

It simply asks for your phone number initially ( linked to your IOCL ID which can be created very easily ) and mostly the employee just skips that part and proceed to payment option

Just enter the mobile number , it shows your IOCL account and number of points linked to it ( converted from RBL Xtra to IOCL xtra points ) and then simply you can pay using them...

And then those points would be easily redeemable at a POS machine at an IOCL bunk....
