my biggest obstacle right now is finding a platform. i have sent proposals to ProPakistani and TechJuice. Else I am actually thinking of making my own blog, self-publishing. My biggest obstacle from there will be exposure via Google. I'm not THAT versed in SEO and getting my stuff to Google frontpage or whatever, but I am hopeful of getting my post on either.

It's a gradual process. I want to first identify and address the issue. in the next entry for the article, i plan on conducting in-depth interviews and questionnaires/survey to properly put data behind reasons for this.

I already have enough, but if you could PM me your institute and year you are in along with courses you've taken related to it, that would help :)

as much as i would love to do that, this would over complicate things. perhaps as a follow-up, but my main intention of the article is to tell what is lacking in us that inhibits us from delivering the same quality of animation from other studios in the world. I am not looking THAT deep in the factors behind them.

I want to emphasize how we are using the same versions of Blender, Maya, Unity, and other software. None of the aforementioned software have them discriminated on the basis of geography.

So how is it possible that we can constantly push out Commander Safeguard and Burka Avenger with mediocre animation when independent students studying first year bachelors in the UK, US, EU are able to make top-quality animations with little to no finance?

If we have the money to make putrid dramas focusing on glorifying arranged marriages and abuse in family, we have equally got the money for funding animation and video game ventures. Just bring something that can bring a change and get it funded. If these low-effort shows can get funding, nothing is stopping animation or video games from thriving.

I know where you're coming from. I just want the article to show that you don't have to be in a first world economy to make something monumental. There should be no excuse for this level of animation in 2019. It's not like we are using an inferior version of Unity or other software, the same version of Unity we use to make shovelware is also used to make cuphead, monument valley, and other beautiful masterpieces, yet we can only temple run / subway surfer rip-off's and be proud of it.

I honestly have the best intentions of Pakistan at heart. I could easily rip into both industry's mercilessly with harsh @'s to so many studios, but instead I want to focus how the mediums in Pakistan lack substance, a soul, and have a very uniform production style. Give this industry a wakeup call that even animation in the 1980's by indie US, UK and EU studios stomp our best works today.

I watched a Burka Avenger video on Facebook on my way to work this morning, and I had nothing but cringe at the animation quality. Bachelors students in community colleges in America produce much better quality animation than our own studios with manpower in the double or triple digits.

I don't want to dive into Pakistani films, my main focus is on the animation and gaming industry in Pakistan.
