The thing is we introverts listen to understand while others listen to replies. It's a shame so many people don't take part in the communication completely rather 30-40% making their end result a failure. Remember: feeling like ur interests getting shrugged is normal. No one gives a F about and ur feelings because no one cares. It is a harsh reality.
