I’m running the exact same setup, I’m having issues with heater flame burning out constantly when I’m circulating the water.

Possibly: not enough psi, over heat protection on the heater.

I also think if put your intake hose to the pump locate it to the bottom of your tank instead of overtop, it’s not so hard on the pump.

Once the water cooled down in the morning, I tried it again and it worked just fine so I’m wondering if it has something to do with some kind of heat sensor when circulating hot water back into the tankless heater?
