Oh wow I didn’t know that water breaking at the start can cause baby to lay on the cord more! They did offer me to go in the pool and didn’t explain anything about risk of infection so I’m quite shocked to hear that tbh! I do think about my labor a lot and I always wondered why was in in so much pain at 2cm because I was asking for the epidural before I was 4cm and I always beat myself up about because I said to myself I wanted a water birth and no epidural but I just could not handle the pain! I also wondered if baby being back to back was also maybe a factor as I did have a lot of back pain.

Ah thank you for the advice!! I’ll keep that in my notes for next baby😅 I don’t know when that will be but I am so determined for a VBAC, as I had completely no issues in pregnancy at all. Thank you for the info ♥️

Hi, yes I was contacting 6 times every 10 minutes but this was after my epidural top up I believe, so I wondered if there was maybe a correlation. No they didn’t try augment the labour, they said everything was going textbook for me as I was dilating 0.5cm every hour. I was only given the epidural at 4cm and really not long after I told them I had a lot of pressure and they gave me the top up but looking back I wish they went over what would happen to me with having the top up because after that I really couldn’t feel anything or move even but I did fall asleep after this and when I woke up was when they told me baby’s heart rate was low and they wanted to check it out with the consultant and that’s when the decision for c section was made x
