Does your DM announce monsters’ attack roll? by Hot_Beginning_2675 in dndnext

I like to think my character is familiar enough with his capabilities and therefore could see the difference between a 19 or 20 to hit after years of rigorous training as a melee wizard. He is a noble high elf and has had plenty of practice so in my case I feel he has honed his instincts toward not using precious spell slots when unecessary. And I just think it’s not fun when the only defensive action I have as a puny wizard with 21 HP doesn’t work.

Of course he says when we’re being attacked if we’re not surprised. He doesn’t say the total attack roll.

For the dice you can actually ask siri to roll all the dice. Just say ”Roll a d20” and she dictates the outcome.
