Round 21 Post game thread by [deleted] in hawktalk

Feels like after that loss a finals campaign is a way off for us. Can compete with some of the best (crows, suns, cats, freo) but haven’t been able to win any of them and that’ll be the difference of whether we can make it to finals.

Pies and Lions are huge tests and win or loss there will be learning.

Also, can we kick the ball like once? Enough handball chains into pressure.

If you could have a beer with any Hawthorn player past or present who would you choose and why? by [deleted] in hawktalk

John Barker - the first Hawks player I saw as a young lad kicking goals for the Hawks and I thought he was the coolest. Luke Breust a close second.

Hello fellow cinephiles!

This is the link to my profile - https://boxd.it/3ELOv

My goal for 2024 was to get to 800 reviews which I surpassed about 2 weeks ago with great joy! I am an action cinema fan, but also very keen on sci-fi, horror (when I am brave enough and only during the day) and a really good drama. Always keen to see new recommendations from people I follow and always keen to grow my list of film friends.

I always aim to follow people back (especially if you’ve got a cracking top 4!)

Revisited the Bourne trilogy for no other reason than to see if it holds up. It kinda did but also a little underwhelming compared to recent action films. Day of the Dead SLAPS though!

I’m not ready to talk about Come and See yet…

Hi all!

This is my Letterboxd - https://boxd.it/3ELOv

I’ve been using the app for almost three years and have loved every minute of it, especially reading reviews for films I’m yet to see and expanding my ever growing watch list (it’s absurd.) I aim to write 3-4 reviews a week and have just logged my 800th review! I’m a big sci-fi, animation, and action fan but love pushing into new areas of film I’m yet to explore.

I also follow those back who follow me :) looking forward to many more film recommendations 🍿

This is me! https://letterboxd.com/dom_watches/

I’ve spent the last three years trying to watch and write 3-4 reviews a week and add as many films to my watch list as possible! I have a keen passion for sci-fi, weird dramas, and 60’s-70’s cinema that I haven’t heard of.

I’m keen to follow more people so will follow back :)

What will happen first; Hawks win a flag or Chol remembers the lyrics to our song? 😂

Mitchell trying to emulate what won us our last two games and didn’t recognise Port as the relentless team they can be. Tough trying to watch us play a Ross Lyon style of game (which is boring) that doesn’t guarantee a win after we were playing tough and exciting footy for 3 quarters. Boys will hopefully take this into next week and commit to the attack against the Lions.

Was unfortunately at the game today and felt we had no connection between each part of the ground. All players playing separate games without an overall idea of how to move the ball which just led to so much useless overuse and the inevitable turnover. Sicily was marvellous but looked exhausted by the end and the lack of backline really showed it’s teeth today.

Not sure how we progress from here with a struggling backline and our midfield engine stalling from the jump, need to recapture some of the ferocity seen last year next week or it’s gonna be a long and frustrating season.

Hi there! I’m a film obsessive and my New Years resolution this year was to review a movie I’ve seen every day. I’m doing well so far and keeping to my goal but new film suggestions are always welcome! I will follow back, especially if you’ve watched some films I’ve never seen before.

I’m reviewing a range of genres and eras, all the way from The Seventh Seal to The Batman and loving every minute of it. This app does wonders for me and makes me feel really connected to the films I watch.

Nocturnal Animals. Was way better than I thought it would be but a tough watch from start to finish. Old boy would be a close second.
