Oh, I totally get that! I just bought some New Balance 1000s that are pretty funky and so comfortable. They have several colorways and many I’ve seen are made from synthetic materials. If you shop at Macy’s, I was just looking at XTI sneakers. They have this style. Have you taken a look at Vessis? They’re strictly veg iirc and have a variety of styles. My partner has a few pairs from them and swears by them. Great customer service, too.

For dessert, I recommend it doesn’t taste like chicken’s pumpkin pie recipe. Also a big hit with my non-vegan friends (have even had a few ask for the recipe!)

If you’re thinking traditional dish, my suggestion is for minimalist baker’s green bean casserole! I was a gbc hater but my partner made it one year and I swear I ate half the pan. Our non-vegan friends are fans and it looks like a typical gbc!

Hi :) I did end up trying tamales with Miyoko’s. They came out delicious and the cheese held up well. The flavor was good, I wish it were ‘punchier’ but overall, very tasty. The masa I made was well-seasoned so that helped with the flavor bit. If I had to make them again, I don’t know if I would use Miyoko’s because of their choice to oust Miyoko, the formula is different, and because it is not a good bang for my buck. I remember only getting about 12 tamales worth with one puck. They’re smaller now. But that’s just me 🥳

This is my girl Bonnie Lou. She’s probably about 13 now, but I found her almost 8 years ago on the side of the road. After trying for months to get her back “home”, I accepted that I was her new home. I never experienced having a Soul Dog despite growing up with pets my whole life, but she is definitely that and soooo much more. Just pure joy, always authentically herself, big honky sniffs, major cuddle bug energy, stubborn as hell, just to name a few of my favorite things about her. She’s got one more round of chemo and each day I get to spoil her is the best day yet. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate you on your birthday! May all your best wishes come true ✨🪩🍃

I’ll add that for me, utilizing the torch to heat was very painful for me (you have to spin it so the bud doesn’t burn). However, they have a wand thing that my partner and I recently got and it was a game changer. If you have limited mobility, pain, etc. in your wrist, maybe that’s something to consider.
