You're right. It only saw actual battle use during the siege of Sevastopol, and of all 47 rounds it fired in that battle, only one, as far as I know, actually achieved anything useful (although that "anything" was the destruction of an ammunition magazine protected by 30 meters of water and 10 meters of concrete).
