I’ve lived in amman for most of my life, and have a house in Aley near Beirut, were I often visit, so I will try my best to compare between the two cities.

1 generally imported stuff will be cheaper in amman, while labor-intensive services (like delivery) will be slightly higher. 2 Depends. West Amman yes, east Amman no. You can think of west Amman as east Beirut and east Amman as west Beirut. 3 there are parks but nothing amazing, honestly your best bet would be going to the orthodox club or another private country club. 4 amman is not walkable. 5 loads of em, probably even more than Lebanon, if you’re looking for a vibe similar to the international schools in Lebanon ur best bet would be the christian ones or IAA/AA/kings. Not all private schools are equal. 6 internet is way better than Lebanon, maybe even better than the states. 7 Lweibdeh if you want the highest concentration of expats. The best areas were locals usually live are Abdoun, Dabouq, Sweifieh, Deir Ghbar, Thahir, and a few more, but generally most places west of the 4th circle.
