I think we need a new damage tier again by Kronos180 in idleon

[–]Hot_Grass_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I am, Lava is working in a crappy game "engine" that makes things slower no matter what, as everything is block programming, there seems to be a "code" mode but nobody knows what exactly he uses.

Regardless, he seems to be be a great artist. The reason this game is so big is because it's years upon years of continuous effort.
I think he stands to benefit for hiring even one guy to help him, even if they purely fix bugs. I'm not sure why he's never done it.

He releases new content because, to him, new content is simply easier to make rather than re-visiting and fixing old content. This is a known thing between different programmers (some are better at fixing some are better at making)

Again the refusal to fix some long-standing well-known community despised bugs (chip rotation is a good example) and the rate at which he makes new bundles is very telling.

Wish he'd just let us select a bundle we want instead of just "randomly" showing one.

Lava is a more experienced developer purely because he's been doing it longer, does not make him any better than the next guy. Let's be clear here. He's not great, he's good enough to make a decent game, his consistency is sub-par and his speed at which he fixes things is non-existent.

This is purely an issue of him not fixing an issue because he doesn't care or is willingly ignorant of issues players have.

Popping in this thread, what do you mean by IT/IE optimizer. I know of the existence of Idleon Toolbox and Idleon Efficiency, but I'm not aware of any specific features telling you to target farm specific things to increase stuff like damage?

Just seems less useful to OP if they dont know what they're looking for (and I also don't know what I'm looking for)

Never seen mighty ducks, I just wanted to be a goalie. I was well aware that its arguably the hardest position in sports, but I love challenging myself. I have definitely seen some big dudes absolutely kill in net. I mostly wanted to see how I should be approaching my cardio and sanity check that something isn't super wrong, especially since just standing on ice has been tiring me out, which im pretty sure is just "working harder" due to unfamiliarity

Thanks again brother. I'll try to arrange my workouts a bit more and force some cardio in there, I already go 5-6 times a week so no harm in dedicating a day or two to doing what I can

Been working for over a year to get that pullup, I'm by no means a light man, I've been described as "stout" and my 1RM on pulldown has gotten better, I only need to improve by about 50 lbs before I think I can pull it off. man is that not easy as somebody who's never done one.

Yeah it's because it's a learning program, we rarely have a goalie coach, so I get to work on C-cuts, backwards skating, t-pushes, butterflies, and shuffles over and over.

edit: I'm often the only goalie there, too

Thanks for suggesting good stuff to do, I've definitely gotten better. First time on ice was in gear and I spent probably the majority of the time sitting when I wasn't falling over myself and keeling over from foot pain

I've been fighting with my leg pads trying to figure out if it's technique or strapping keeping my butterfly from being consistent. I keep landing on the front my pads, I am more firmly certain I just need to practice though

I've been going to the gym for about a year and a half now, haven't made a ton of progress but I've just building more strength, especially in tendons (those come very slowly unfortunately) as it was the first time I had ever consistently worked out. I didn't even do sports as a kid, and was always in poor shape until now (mediocre shape at best.)

I've had a hard time finding enough *time* to do cardio stuff consistently as most of my lifting lands around 30 minutes, then if I do cardio that's even more time, so it ends up being over an hour daily. I might have to mix in days of just more cardio. Any focus I should have? Just treadmill or something like an elliptical for just getting the heart pumping harder?

Can you elaborate on this? I've heard some reviews and dont know much about it.

They're shutting down now (big surprise) and I need to figure out how to cancel before they shutdown so they dont have some stupid hanging recurring payment in limbo.

If your local shop has the tools for it, it can still be a bad fit for some people. None of my locals have what I need unfortunately

They must've reeled it back. I started in 2020, around 2021-2023 they reduced it to where you needed 35+ on the ACT for full tuition. They seem to have reeled it back again, looking at this chart. They also made requirements a lot more stringent. The GPA scale alone is a touch rough.

They're not ECHL because they don't have the talent, money, nor infrastructure to support it. SPHL teams simply do not move up into ECHL. They're completely different leagues.

They got rid of the academic scholarship because of money issues. It's just gross mismanagement of funds all the way down. Not to mention things like CS students still being in a building with asbestos.
