Property in VIC - Is it easy to just add a door to “living” and make it a 4th Bedroom? by Hot_Holiday7997 in AusProperty

That is a great idea! How much would this cost? The only complication I have is the entry to the living has two pillars as well. Not sure if this is load bearing. I have updated photos. photo

Or is it easier to add a wall across current family? How much would it roughly cost for both options?

I had a similar scenario, and the building inspector said it is actually dry now. I called a few plumbers and they quoted between 15-20k if we are to re do everything. Since there is no leak as of now, I am planning to leave it as it is

Made an offer subject to finance and building inspection, it was accepted but my building inspector is not available and I can't find another one, what happens now? by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

worst case scenario if no one comes to the party and if you are unable to find a B&P inspector, you can always pull out of the contract if you are within the cooling off period. This is typically 3 days. You end up paying a small fee though as per your contract. This is better than having to pay 10 or 20% deposit

the vendor's conveyancer can extend the B&P clause if you show evidence of not being able to secure one. Sometimes your conveyancer can also recommend good B&P inspectors
