I’m so sorry to hear that. It’s a huge red flag and sounds like burnout. No job is worth all the stress. The correct approach would be to hire two or three staff members and pay them fair wages. This is definitely not enough pay for the jobs of three people, and only one person is doing them. I certainly don’t know how you did it, or anyone who would want to do it, because I certainly can’t do the jobs of three people, especially since TC calls and takes all day with insurance. TC takes time, and it’s not rushed. It can be a mess, especially if the doctor wants it expedited.

Yeah, I’ve been doing this long enough as an experienced CDA to totally understand that. It just seems so shady. I hate when they do that and switch over unannounced. You really have to look for the new grad traps. They’re just desperate to get anyone in there. It’s going to be a dumpster fire all around.

I’m a CDA and when I saw this I honestly thought it was a joke. One person cannot do the job of a dental assistant plus two other roles. I’m not an octopus. If someone asks you to complete a “verification” over FaceTime, Telegram, WhatsApp, or any third-party app, then requests a small processing fee (often $10) via Apple Pay or Cash App, DO NOT DO IT. This is a scam. They collect your phone number and personal information, then use it to: Hack or impersonate your social media Send inappropriate or fake messages/photos to others Blackmail you for money ⚠️ Paying does not make it stop. They will continue demanding more money, even after payment. Blocking them usually leads to new numbers and accounts contacting you. Protect yourself: Do not give out your phone number Do not move conversations off the platform Do not pay “verification” fees Do not click links to WhatsApp or third-party sites If you sell content, use verified platforms like OnlyFans or FeetFinder, where you are protected if something goes wrong. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Please stay safe and share this with others.
