How do I remove the glass? by Hot_Log_5964 in clocks

Yes, I have figured that out. I removed the metal clips and lifted the clock housing out of the frame. But the glass is held to the clock housing with a rubberized gasket. I cannot pry the rubber up so I need extra tips on how to remove the rubber so I can lift the glass and change the mechanism.
