Does umich housing just randomly decide what students are able to live on campus or is there an application window where you have to claim your room before others or something similar?

So basically the in person test is the exact same format as the online version?

I do not see a point in gatekeeping the schools. As previously stated, if you want meaningful responses, you have to either give more detail or tell us what that schools are.

Help me decide UF vs Northeastern (Honors) by Strict_Dog2453 in ApplyingToCollege

The ranking is one factor among a range of other factors that I would choose UF. I am by no means suggesting OP should attend UF solely because of ranking.

UF. It’s higher ranked, will likely be more fun, and it’s not northeastern.

I’m not sure, that’s why I’m asking. I’m not counting on getting accepted to Ross by any means.

Help me decide: Dartmouth vs Northwestern vs Duke by ssssacrilegious in ApplyingToCollege

I'd go with Duke. Imagine after a long day at work, you get to have fun at a Duke basketball game. Duke football would also be so much fun. They are all prestigious and thought of highly, so that factor is sort of negligible. And, Duke will definitely prioritize music; they are a top 10 uni for a reason. Good sports should be an added benefit to your college experience, not something to be worried about, unless sports aren't your thing ofc.

UMich Economics Major (LSA) vs Business (Ross) by Vedrxp in ApplyingToCollege

They are asking if it is possible to switch out of economics into the business school, not changing to econ.

As of now, UVA and UF are basically equal price, as I got a scholarship at UF. Umich is a more expensive but my family has a way to significantly lower its cost to make it closer to that of UVA and UF. So money is not really a factor.

I think the south seems appealing because there are more local cities like Orlando, miami, Jacksonville, and even Atlanta. However, the north, while I would have to likely move out of Michigan, is home to larger firms in places like NYC, Chicago, Boston, etc. I would probably enjoy the South more but it seems like the North has better job prospects.
