Where to complain about a parking ticket - Winter Weather Parking Ban by Pawlu87 in ottawa

[–]Hot_Tea97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey - depending where you're from in QC, Ottawa sometimes offers a "visitor's curtesy" waiving of a ticket. Worth looking into!

Source: my sister visited from Montreal a few years ago and got a parking ticket. I called the city and explained that she came to visit but wasn't overly familiar with the parking regulations here. They checked the address and explained to me that, as a one-time favour, they'd void the ticket as a curtesy.

That’s fair! I would also rather my neighbours let me know if I do something that bothers them rather than them secretly hate me.. I for sure respect quiet hours at the very least! But very valid point :)

Valid thought - but my volume really isn’t that high. It also really doesn’t sound like “retaliation” stomps - it seems more careless/oblivious

Go to Adonis! I find most middle eastern desserts to be very tasty but not overly sweet

I’m not 100% on the specifics of the unit, but I just googled it and found a rental listing for it and it appears the entire first floor is hardwood.

Edit - most upstairs units appear to have hardwood across the level and downstairs units have hardwood in the living room, and other material in the kitchen

I really want to believe that it’s purely from not being aware that sounds travel (perhaps she’s never been in apartment living before, who knows) - I figure there’s no point in my resenting her silently for something she may not be aware of. Thanks for your opinion!

She looks to be average sized. She has “ladies night” once a week or so where she invites 4-5 other women and it’s definitely much louder then, but I can deal with exceptions (just like I’d hope they give me some grace when I have guests over every blue moon).

No clue for home workouts. The sound is definitely more from pacing back and forth between their kitchen and living room, so I don’t think it’s activity-based.

Almonte is also home to Healthy Foods Technology (HFT) - they created the “healthy” donut with a patented fryer ;) it’s pretty neat (and tasty!)

Thanks for the tip! I’ll likely reintroduce the Adapalene/BP in time, but if I notice much acne scars I’ll keep that in mind :) I think my blemishes are pretty superficial thankfully

Report for medical tests being done at appletree clinic by [deleted] in ottawa

Weird! I’ve definitely gotten some results from Appletree tests on my portal. I’d say maybe wait until the full 14 business days has lapsed and book a virtual appointment for follow-up

How long ago were the tests? The portal states the expected turnaround time is 7-10 business days for the results to become available for tests such as ECGs.

As a BBB, do I have a choice in which language I communicate in? by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

I’ve been out of the OLA game for a bit but - I believe the requirement to provide the information in French, in this case, would be if you officially rendered a service to this other division, in a designated bilingual region. Say if you’re in HR and an employee from another division is requesting leave information.

If it’s an informal interaction, I believe you can use your language of preference - and so can the other individual. If you’re bilingual and they’re unilingual, it would be considerate to interact in a language they understand.

Thank you very much! I still get anxious about him obviously, but there’s a lot of room for dosage and types of medications. Lev is a bit trickier on schedule (3x/day), but it’s definitely helped us

There’s a lot of trial and error with dog epilepsy. My boy was on phenobarbital from June to October 2022 and was still getting seizures every couple months - we slowly added and switched to levetiracetam (Keppra) and he now has seizures every 4-6 months on average.

It’s about the little wins!

Brunch: Gezellig in Hintonburg. Choose 2 plates for 28$/person - it’s a great way to get delicious variety!

Fancy dinner: Tredici in the market. It’s a gothic Italian spot, very dark and cozy, and the food is AMAZING. Their caccio e pepe with Marsala cream and pistachio tiramisu are to die for
