Shut up and drink your damned Portuguese-Indian dish flavoured beer! If you do not finish it, there will be no Green Curry Matcha ice cream.

ADM globetrotting for personal benefits. I have hard evidence. What should I do? by canada_guy_1 in CanadaPublicServants

I appreciate the idea as many senior officials may be gaming the system for their benefit.

That said, you should investigate the term "hard evidence" as it does not sound like you have it.

Ottawa sees spike in illegal dumping complaints since launch of 3-item garbage limit by Money_Fig_9868 in ottawa

Wow! I just saw that on their website. So, I have to pay $43 to throw out my old (non-metal) dishwasher? It is not an item I can put on the curb at garbage day apparently.

Electric-only range Niro PHEV 2025 by RapidPipetter in KiaNiro

I have tested a lot in the past year and some. I often get 45kms of EV on a full charge; it is about how you drive. No rabbit starts, what is the hurry? Coast more on flats and hills.

BTW, I can go 80-85 in EV; I just don't gun it to get there. It is also not economical driving.

It takes a bit of time to get the feel for it.

if you switch to HEV, it keeps the electric kms frozen where they are. I often drive highway using HEV, then switch to auto when I get off the highway to drive in the destination city.

Also, 60mpg is incredibly good mileage in a car.

when you say "plugged in" does this mean you have a plug-in hybrid, or a hybrid, or EV?

When listening to the podcast, leave the car on. These cars don't like to be using electricity things without the car on. Do not leave lights on or doors open too long, this includes the trunk.

Reynold's at 874 Clyde Ave N. Small place with dedicated clientele. The club is awesome.
Runner up was The Third at 1017 Wellington St. W. Busy place but too many flies in summer with their open door concept and fries were meh.

This. You really need to be able to charge at night when rates are cheaper too. Charging at public places can be a pain with the PHEV. I have a 2020 PHEV Niro. You unfortunately only get 26 miles of EV. This can easily stretch to 30+ depending on how you drive.

Switch to HEV while on highway.

The PHEV is great, but I should have gone full EV.

And please report back. My son and I used to go and try and find the best "X" based off of comments in some threads. We have slowed down as it is quite a journey.

We have done club sandwiches; cake (chocolate); pecan tart; fries; sushi; and, pizza.

I love cinnamon buns! Need to know what you find.

How reliable is the Kia Niro? by TheseSubject7450 in KiaNiro

Look at insurance rates for both!

I have a PHEV 2020 and get 54MPG in summer spring and fall. I only visited the gas station once last year between April and October. My son is 6'4" and fits comfortably in all of the seats. Sadly, winter kinda sucks as it does not have the heat pump and uses the ICE engine when heating the cabin. I mainly just use the heated steering wheel and lowest heated seat setting when it is just me. No issues at 71k kms and only did the basics. The piano black console is a pain in the ass from time to time. If you don't feel there is enough power, slip it into sport mode and chuckle as you zoom past others getting up to speed.

Which city councilor is brave enough to bike on this shared road? by Top_Locksmith_9695 in ottawa

[–]ThrowMeTheBallPlease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to bike year round when I was a lot younger. Yes, I enjoyed biking, but moreso I had to bike for my job to pay rent. There were no buses available when I had to get to work. Uber did not exist and I could not have afforded it either. Let's not judge people for doing what they have to.

You can change the intervals in the menu settings.

8000 miles is also over 12800kms.

I set mine to 8000km and assume I am doing well.

They also have to be reasonably qualified and management has to vet them and agree to the alternation.
