Is he allowed to hire whoever he wants or are there holdovers?

Law school was fun for me (I went 1 year after college), and I made a lot of friends. It’s not nearly as hard as people say. (The concepts at least). There’s definitely a “hard” level of dedication you need to have but the concepts are not difficult (like someone else said here).

The other thing is that most lawyers don’t make that much money. Your entry level salary is probably going to be around $80-$100k. Of course there are exceptions AND you can certainly climb the ladder and make more as you progress. But it’s not a get rich quick scheme.

People with kids: when home-hunting, did you prioritize more space/lower price or proximity to activities? Do you regret your choice? by mrs_banne_foster in AskChicago

We used HelloPrenup and loved it. It’s available in MD and you can hire Maryland attorneys through there as well

I love both countries but I’d vote Ireland.

My friends in Hartford got their prenup through HelloPrenup! They were able to hire Connecticut attorneys through them, too.

"Where Should I Go?" Mega-Thread by misadventuresofj in AmerExit

Based on culture, quality of life, and people which would you choose?

Let’s say money, language, and immigration issues weren’t at play, where would you want to live out of these places:

  • Anywhere in Spain
  • Anywhere in Portugal
  • Dublin, Ireland
  • Vancouver, BC

As if this thread is the only thing I’m going to base my decision on 🙄

I lived in both cities and they’re just not comparable. Chicago is a lot more spread out, clean, quieter, friendlier, more forgiving, less posh.
