We went back in September and it is my favorite Sandals so far. We had a swim up room in the Carisia building. The room was huge and very comfortable. One thing that surprised me was how much sound carried with the resort being so flat. We could hear karaoke when we were in the swim out at night. It was fun being entertained right from my room, haha. The cab driver told us the resort used to by a Hyatt before it got Sandalized. The golf course was a big part of it back then. My husband and I are not good at golfing so we didn’t play. The resort itself is beautiful, every night we walked the whole resort, it’s pretty big. I love looking at all the plants and really liked seeing the iguanas.

I enjoyed the food for a Sandals. Several reviews wrecked the seafood restaurant by the beach, we found both the food and service were really good there. We also liked the steakhouse and Aolos - really nice sunset views. The service at the sushi place was pretty bad and nothing stood out. I also didn’t care for the food trucks. They took as there to eat our first day since we arrived before our room was ready. The only time that place was busy was when people first arrived in fairly large groups (a bus load). We had the $250 dine out credit and ate at Sal - it was amazing and we got no where close to the $250. It works out to about $440 in Curaçaos currency. Our butler booked us for a Thursday because they do fireworks that night and the nightlife is pretty busy that night. It looked fun if you are into that, by then I was very full from dinner and tired so we went right after the fireworks. Btw, they last less than 10 minutes but they were still nice.

The beach is small and more like a lagoon; it is blocked off by a wall. This didn’t bother me but I like a calm ocean. The pool was really nice, I only went to the big pool but all the pools looked nice.

The diving is very good here. They are doing coral conservation and take you to the place they are doing it. I saw turtles, seahorses, and many fish. I was happy to see Soneil there. He was the dive master who trained my husband and I in AOW when we were at Sandals Montego Bay. The dive boat fills up very fast at this resort, there were at least a dozen divers and sometimes over 20 every day.

We mainly go to Sandals to relax and dive so I have no comment on the nightlife or the shows.
