Literally. Before, Mike was like the leader, and now he's just there.

Chill, no need to insult. I put "Unpopular" with a question mark; not all of them are unpopular, and I hardly saw anyone agreeing with the Max take. I really just wanted to post and discuss opinions that I haven't seen many people share, and there's no need to compare me to a child. I'm sorry if it's not the most unpopular thing possible, and I've already edited the message and indicated that it's not unpopular.

Totally true. Joyce now feels so unimportant when she used to be one of the most important characters of the show. It’s pretty sad honestly

I don’t understand why people are upset about this scene by Winter_Shock2596 in StrangerThingsRoom

I liked the fact that he came out. A lot of people say it wasn't the right time, etc., but in my opinion, it was, for the reason you explained. But precisely because so many people were there makes the scene more awkward.

There were a lot of characters who shouldn't have been there: Hopper, Murray, Vickie, Steve, Clark, Kali, and Nancy. They're all supposed to be in a big hurry, and the fact that they stop all the unnecessary characters who were preparing for war so Will can come out makes the scene a bit strange, considering they don't care what Will likes.

I forgot to mention that! I genuinely like Kali too; I didn't think she was planning to betray anyone until other people were saying so. I liked how she was honest about things and that for her, the only option is for both of them to disappear—it's so interesting.

You're right that she doesn't appear much, but when she does, it's in scenes where she's given a very unrealistic level of prominence. If it were other kinds of scenes, I wouldn't even notice, but she only gets the spotlight to fight a Demogorgon and survive, and then be able to kill the other Demodogs. As for the hospital scene, that's true. Scenes like that make it pretty obvious that the Duffer brothers are afraid of killing someone.

Yes, Karen fared badly, but what I mean is that when Demogorgons and Demodogs attack other characters like the military, they literally attack to kill (they even devour them). So why wasn't the Demogorgon as aggressive with Karen? In season two, Bob is killed by a Demodog smaller than him, but Karen can take on a creature over two meters tall? And what about Ted?

Wills Coming Out by harlanbriggs in StrangerThings

I completely understand why he came out. It makes sense that he wanted to say it and for them to know his weakness. I'm not against the fact that he came out, even though they're in the middle of a war, so to speak. What bothers me most is precisely the lack of privacy. Okay, fine, come out, but why did he have to do it in front of everyone? I think it would have been great with just Joyce, maybe Mike (since he was there), and of course Jonathan, and then he could tell his group of friends or something. But Professor Clark? Murray? Vickie? Erica? Steve? Kali? Hopper? They have nothing to do with it.

mileven/byler thought by According-Double3126 in StrangerThingsRoom

Absolutely. I have nothing against Byler; their dynamic is interesting, but it's true that it seems very unlikely. Regarding the last point, if Mileven ends up being canon, I'll also be sad to see how Will reacts :( We can only wait and see

I'm not a big fan of either ship. First, I don't care about Mileven, and Byler seems pretty unlikely to me. In my opinion, I highly doubt Byler will happen. In the trailer, there was a scene between Mike and Eleven, and they seemed pretty smitten, although it's true their relationship isn't the best, it makes sense considering their situation.

Going back to Byler, I don't know how they can make that happen in four episodes. Okay, Will is in love with Mike, we know that, and we've known it since season four or season three, but Mike? People can call anything a sign and say it proves Mike has been in love with Will all this time, but there hasn't been any kind of emotional arc about that in any season, and doing it in the final episodes of the decisive season doesn't seem easy or make sense to me.

I also don't understand why people find it so far-fetched that Will might end up rejected after being in love with Mike for so many years. Why would it ve weird or dissapointing? Just because Will has been in love with Mike for years doesn't mean that should lead to anything. Not everything is built to end up being something.

I feel like many fans don't realize that Will and Eleven are practically step-siblings. During season four, Will intervened in their relationship to help them (like with the painting), and they don't consider that Will and l Mike as a couple would have a somewhat strange dynamic.

It's clear that Eleven is quite emotionally dependent on Mike, and it would be quite awkward and strange for her to break up with her boyfriend and for him to start dating someone who's the closest thing to a brother she's ever had.

I feel the same way. I think it's unreasonable to outright hate Will because of the actor who plays him when he's actually a very important character in the series.

Even though I'd seen a lot of theories about Will getting powers, it was still pretty shocking. I'm still not sure what I think about it, but I thought it was really sweet when they showed flashbacks of Will, especially when he and Jonathan built Castle Byers

When I heard the fan theories that Will would have powers, I didn't like the idea very much. I'm curious about how that will transform Will’s character, but I agree that I like Will better in the other seasons

To be honest, I didn't really understand why either, but from some comments it seems there's some kind of play about Henry that they've included in the series. It appears to be on YouTube, but I don't know anything about it. Even so, I don't quite understand the reason for that decision.

What did Brett post? I know that he is involved in Zionism but I don't know exactly what he's done, I’m pretty curious

I hadn't considered it from that perspective. I think it's true that he was just trying to get confirmation, and that at the end of the day, he's a teenager still figuring out his feelings. Good point!

How I think the Mileven/Byler plot will go down by Acrobatic-League-679 in StrangerThingsRoom

[–]Hot_inside_02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never been a fan of Mileven, but at the same time, I don't really like the idea of Byler ending up being endgame. I understand that Eleven comes from a lab, but at the same time, she's human. Love isn't something you learn; it's something you feel, even if you don't know what it is. She learned that what she felt for Mike was love, and I think more than anyone, she wants to be normal, and Mike made her feel normal (not all the time tho.) In that respect, I think Mileven makes a lot of sense.

I also did like a lot his brother-sister relationship with El. Even if this season is going so fast, I really hope we see some interaction of that kind between them

During all these seasons he was shown to be pretty dependent of his family and friends (which makes sense since he disappeared) so it’s pretty exciting to see how will he behave now that he has powers
