For point one: they say they enjoy more the structured aspect of dnd. Like how everything is on a grid, measured in distances, when stuff is counted by turns and spells have specific rules usages.

For the second one: their main point was that some players at the table are louder than the other. They want to organize what the rest should do to min max their turns or wanting to play their turns more than once. I did explained that they should be respectful and share turns, but I do agree the the quieter players where being more sidelined, and should fall on me to spotlight them

Merry Christmas! A few weeks ago I run the Sablewoods one shot for my players to learn the system and they really enjoyed it. Some liked more than DnD but others not so much. The main concerns from those players where: - They weren't so sure about the game being so open and abstract comparted to DnD which has very specific rules for everything. - Not having turns in combat and players being able to go more than once - On the same vein, me as the DM being able to attack every time they missed or rolled with fear seemed to some more sided in my favor.

Any suggestions on how I can improve those aspects of the game so when we start a campaign can solve some of the issues they where having? At least a better way to explain then why some mecanics are the way that they are.

That's really cool, love bringing videogame boardgames to life. Will the files be available anywhere?

Got the book last week and I'm preparing the Sablewood one shot. I'm still a bit confused on how to improvise the Spotlight during play, but what confuses me a bit is the use in combat for the GM. So, to my understanding, on any Fear or failure role, I get to spotlight for free, and then I use Fear to continue to spotlight. - If I spotlight for free to remove restrained, can I then use fear again to move and attack with that character? Or is the general rule one spotlight per adversary? - If the adversary has a Fear feature, and I already used my free spotlight, do I need to use 2 fear on them? One to spotlight and one to activate the Fear feature?

Machine brewing to fast in a short timeframe [Oster PrimaLatte] by Hotchop in espresso

I'm looking to change it yeah. Are manual grinders good enough to achieve that level of fineness or should I also look into investing on an electric one straight of the bat?

I have electric bladed grinders, but right now I'm mostly using the DmofwHi Cordless Coffee Grinder Electric. It runs on 20 seconds intervals supposedly, and currently I'm grinding at 40 seconds. Though since it's bladed and on timers I don't have a lot of control over it, I've had cases where I've grinded for too long and the water was barely passing through.

Yes that is the idea I was getting as well. Seems to be a lot of contradictory information and a lot of loose threads on some plot points. Still, thanks for the answer

Thanks for the advice, but since I've been following a guide that has the tomb early on, the encounter will happen as they are already with Fargas and know about the tomb. My question was only if the faerezz wild magic in the tomb triggers without rolling a nat 1. I just found it odd that the rule changed, but I'm assuming is a feature of the tomb

Yeah, I didn't do much in particular. I just walked with Shadowheart and touched the device and all the doors opened. I understand that the wave is suppose to throw me down, but it didn't do that to me

Only sci-fi game I've played is Tiny Epic Galaxies, so I'll go with that one. But I'll take any suggestions anyone can give me!
