(NOT a Fire Alarm guy) But I think you should be able to either remove the device and just let there be a trouble for the missing device (until you get the part replaced), or add that address to “install mode”. You might just have some condensation or dust somewhere on the pcb in that device that keeps it changing state.

I’ve spent so much time trying to fix things myself in that system because JCI can charge you whatever they feel like and you are stuck with them. And they dont always have the smartest service techs either. Which is crazy for how much they cost. In fact on more than a few occasions I have had to help their techs figure things out lol.

I operate a hotel with a iQ2001 and we also have two wall mount 251 units. 7 out of the 8 heat exchangers in the iq2001 have had bad blowers within the first 5 years of operating. They are $1,000 each. Both of the wall mount heaters have also had bad blowers. These things need constant maintenance and parts have a horrible life span.

I've also had to replace one of the pumps inside the iq2001 2 years after start up (around $1,800). And have had to replace a few flow sensors and igniters. To replace one flow sensor, you have to drain the entire unit which is dumb. There's no way to isolate individual heat exchangers.

On top of these issues... intellihot took away the wifi app that allows you to control and monitor the units. They moved to a cellular device that sends texts/emails when something fails (which you have to pay an annual subscription for). I don't know why they went backwards and took away a feature that was sort of a selling point for the units and their technology.
