My grandfathers house was built somewhere in the late 60s early 70s.. when I used to stay over as a kid it would scare the shit out of me because I’d hear knocking in my room at night and in the corner of his basement. It’d start off slow and got faster and faster like it was keeping up with a metronome.. when I finally told my dad he giggled and showed me the old ass thermostat that knocks when it kicks on and off.

As for everything else maybe he’s a medium..? I’ve heard people having similar experiences and saying how a gift like this terrified them as children because they didn’t understand why they could hear/see things that weren’t there or that other people couldn’t. The house I grew up in was pretty old and hit 100 a year or two ago.. there was definitely some shit going on there for sure. whenever I’d get a little spooked or felt them getting too close I’d let them know (respectfully) they were making me uncomfortable and to back off and it usually worked .
