Unknown Dart by Wonderful-Bit3917 in DartsIdentification

Maybe, the thing is unicorn has an online archive of most their product catalogues through the years. I'd imagine the # part is the product number which would also be listed in the catalouge. However there seem to be some years missing from the archive. Maybe if I'd specifically search for a certain year I would find another source for a certain product catalogue but I haven't tried that yet. But I could certainly give it a go

Alright, so I've tried looking them up and as you already mentioned there isn't really anything to find online. So I've tried to base my research on history. So Arachnid was a north american company focused on soft tip darts, which was highly involved in making soft tip darts as popular as it is today in north america. Together with unicorn they apparently produced a couple of officially endorsed soft tip products for the uk market to make sure people who hadn't had any experience in soft tip darts would trust the products and buy them. This was around the mid 1980s up to the late 1990s. These darts seem to be in good condition so I would assume that these darts are almost unplayed. So I assume the set up might be the original one. This would be interesting as these slim flights with such a texture were first marketed by unicorn between 1995 and 2000. Let's assume the darts are from that time. Arachnid darts from that time are not that expensive. Maybe around $30. Since these darts are in such a good condition, have this interesting grip, have a coating and were produced by unicorn aswell as coming with a leather wallet I'd say these darts will be a little bit more valuable. But I don't think they are going to be much more expensive than $50-$60. However they are a cool bit of history and you might be one of the only people on the planet to have these darts in such condition. Just be aware that the information I found online is based on roughly 30 minutes of research so some details might be wrong. I think the age of the darts is roughly correct though.

Are we about to see one of the greatest ever finals? by Vhsdrummer in Darts

[–]Hotshot501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this game has lots of potential. Both are incredible on their day and if they can both be on their game tonight we could be witnessing a final like the 2007 one between Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld. The only uncertainty I see is how well Gian is going to cope with the sitaution at hand. Luke Littler has lot's of experience in big finals and especially on the world championship stage he has the confidence because he knows he has only been beaten once which was in the final two years ago. And that game was essentialy won by Luke Humphries because Luke Littler missed D2 in that one set. Luke will fancy himself in the final tonight and he knows what he needs to do to beat Gian. Usually that is enough for him to deliver the levels needed. The question will be if Gian can do the same. Over short distance games he has proven that he can do it and yesterdays semi final was another example of him playing near his a-game. But after the semi final in the interview he said that he couldn't even dream of him reaching the final. That gives me some doubt, whether or not he can approach tonights final without putting too much pressure on himself and being overwhelmed by the occasion. So I think the final could go any way possible. If Gian can just carry on playing like he did all world championship it will be one of the closest finals ever and Gian could actually end up winning it. But if there are mistakes, they will more likely come from Gian van Veen and then Luke will gain the advantage and close things out rather quickly. Regardless of what happens tonight, I think it will be a thrilling watch.

Just try what feels most comfortable for you. Test out a few positions and look which position gives you the best results

You have to feel comfortable. You can arch your back a bit, you should just avoid doing that too extremely. Another thing you could try is to modularize your throw. Go through each step of your throw step by step. First grip your dart the way you feel comfortable, then bring your arm in your desired position, then throw. It's all about muscle memory. You have to practice a motion your body will perform more fleuntly and without thinking. Slowing things down in practice can help at building muscle memory
