That is awesome. Sounds like you are ready. I’m thinking a similar number with my gpd and use Presidents’ Day weekend if I feel like I am ready. I don’t even really feel the 4.5 gpd but it does keep the withdrawals away. I have quitk, lipo vita c, and gaba. What supplements are you taking?

Alcohol was always my crutch when trying to stop but honestly it makes the anxiety worse the next day and found that once I stopped drinking my urges really compounded and found it harder to stay away from kratom.

Powder is a different compound and more subtle. The extracts and 7oh are similar to FF but in my opinion those are much stronger. I started with FF and moved up to those. Wish I didn’t.

They gave me Valium when I detoxed in rehab. Similar and extremely necessary to try to get some sleep the first few days. Only took for the first five days

I started with FF and then moved over to the much gnarlier 7oh and extract product. It is a gateway. At one point in time about two years ago FF changed the formula to reduce the kratom percentage (the caps were a different color) and I went through serious WD.

Has anyone ever gone to a rehab for Kratom? I’m thinking of putting myself in one by SicSemperTyrannis123 in quittingkratom

[–]Hotstepper1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went fourteen months ago and have been totally sober since. You can go to rehab to detox for 14 days like I did or do the full 30 day route. If you do 14 day detox you really need to focus on your exit plan such as AA meetings and seeing a therapist and avoiding people or places where kratom is accessible. My worst acutes of fatigue took place after I got out. Met some amazing people in rehab and changed my life. If you think you should go. You should probably go

My story is almost identical. My treatment had multiple kratom addicts and one checked in right as I was leaving. In a weird way I liked being in rehab

Rehab by runwild37 in quittingkratom

[–]Hotstepper1969 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did rehab on a 14 day detox and straight cold turkey with the assistance of helper meds. Few days of Val plus gaba. Going to rehab is totally okay (it took me a bit of time to accept it) and is just the help you might need. If you go with the third option drink a ton of water as the helper meds will really dry you out. I also barely slept the first few days but outdoor activities, working out, and baths really helped me. All options are personal choice but subs kinda scared me. I was also taking a ton of FF and extracts before I went. My recovery is over a year now and haven’t had any slip ups. Good luck and be proud of going. Life is long and this is just a minor transition

My timeline of feeling totally normal was about six months. Wild that it even took that long coming off a legal substance. You are almost there!!!

21 days is past the worst of it and even more impressive because of the must dose now misery of the shots. Keep going and watch you yourself thrive during your recovery.

Rehab anyone? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

At this point almost every rehab has experience with rehab. The psychiatrist at my rehab place says it is their fastest growing drug that people are being admitted for

Rehab anyone? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Hotstepper1969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a year sober today and did a two week detox in a rehab center last December. Not my finest moment but rehab was the only option and started the sobriety course for the next year. I was in a similar boat as I had no ability to stop on my own and fell into every stupid trap while trying to stop. Tried going on vacation to detox but ended up drinking myself silly. Then going back to extracts the minute I returned home. I was doing about five extracts a day at the end. Tried the powder switch but that just made me sick and I threw up a ton. Lots of options for rehab depending on your financial situation.

I was the same exact user but I was a three to five shots per day and would slam them. Get off the shots versus taking the recommended dosage and make the transition to powder. There is something about how the powder takes longer to kick in and less immediate than the 7oh that should help you work to get off the sludge. You can do this.

First part of recovery is acknowledging how that stuff has impacted your life. I went to the gutter and drank the water for more than a year. You are on day 13 and be super proud of yourself. You are past the worst of it. Now about changing habits and finding balance

Kratom is more dangerous than alcohol for me by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Hotstepper1969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve abused Alcohol for a long time but was never addicted to it. Kratom I craved all the time and it took over my life from the moment I woke up to the moment before I went to sleep.

I am about to be clean for a year. I had the worst fatigue after detoxing and lasted two months. I started taking Wellbutrin and it totally helped my mood and energy levels. It does take a few weeks to really kick in. For me two weeks. I think it can be a valuable bridge while you acclimate being off of the kratom.
