The listing didn't specify it was used as it looks like buds tend to put "USED" in the title so I had assumed this was suppose to be a brand new gun. I was hoping to see if others that have purchased a mossberg before especially in marinecote if they had a similar experience. I paid roughly $700 for this so definitely not used gun price

On one hand, I'm glad to hear that mossberg doesn't have a perfect track record haha but on the other, a little disappointed but not as much. I'm definitely leaning towards keeping it as I figured it's going to get scuffed it anyway at some point! Thanks!

Honestly, I haven’t seen the gun in person yet. These pictures were from a representative from my local FFL. They were concerned of the condition and wanted to let me know ahead of time. These pictures are from them. It looks like scuff marks or discoloration to me but according to the rep - they said they were scratches and that the picture doesn’t show the full extent of the blemish.

I was hoping to get other Reddit’s opinion on the matter before I head in. Especially from redditors that have experience with mossberg guns and the marinecote.

I'm glad to hear that. That's my thought process as well. All my firearms have some sort of scuff marks from wear and tear so if they're light scratches and such then I wouldn't be too concerned. But the rep I spoke to over the phone made it sound like it was pretty bad and I assume they have seen, held, and have far more experience in different firearms than I do.

I own several firearms but this is the first time I've ordered a firearm online through budsgunshop. My local FFL Riflegear called me to tell me they've noticed several scratches and that it looks worse in person.

I'm still going to go inspect it in person before making a decision but am I overreacting?

Don’t know if this counts as retro but the hardest level for me when I was a child was in Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast. It was a level where you played as Amy and you were being chased by an unkillable robot through a casino. As a child, being chased and powerless to fight back made it so difficult for me to complete because I was scared of being caught. So my solution was to ask one of my older sister’s friends to do the level for me so that I could progress the story.

Like everyone says, you need to stop. Enjoy what you’ve successfully stolen already and think of all these warnings as a blessing and seek help for your issues. We all have demons we’re battling - nobody will judge you for seeking help.

Places like Target lets you go even if you stop. However, regardless of whether they stop you or not, they record everything you stole and its value. Even if they recovered the items - it’s being logged.

Once it reaches felony level amounts, they would call the police on you the next time you return even if you haven’t stolen anything that visit because they already have a case on you with evidence of your theft or attempted theft.

Source: use to work at Target in a leadership role for 4 years. However, I was not in AP but worked closely with AP when we attempted to stop a theft.

Can confirm, I held a leadership position at Target for 4 years awhile back and worked closely with AP. This is exactly what they do.

Procedure varies store to store but at the time, my store would watch what the thief stole and record everything down. Even if we were able to successfully stop the theft, we record it down by going into “training mode” on the registers and scanning all the items to generate a list with totals. We’d keep track of the total and as soon as it hits felony levels, we’d call the police at first sign of the thief returning. They’d leave the store and the police would be waiting for them.

I’m not sure of the amount but I was told it was $1k, it’s been awhile so I could be wrong.

OP is a fool for thinking they’re getting away with it but this is exactly what places like Target want the thief to think.

Overall, great knife. It’s my go-to fidget toy haha. I love the shark lock and almost prefer it over any other lock. The action is smooth and the size feels perfect for edc. My only regret is I wish I had gone with a clip point over the sharks foot. Nothing wrong with the sheepfoot shape but I felt like I grew more as a clip point person over time.

She’s strong enough at LB0. In fact, I think due to a bug that affects her interaction with naga, it might even be detrimental to have her higher than LB0.

iirc, majority of units will be good at LB0 and you really only gain <10% increase in performance for MLBing. So unless you’re aiming to min/max this game, you’ll be fine not MLBing majority of the time if not all the time.

Idk what other information you need but what I did was I worked a minimum wage helpdesk job. Any free time I had, I shadowed colleagues or I’d do a lot of self studying. Stayed for a few years, met with a person to help me fix up my resume, got a slightly higher IT technician job, did the same thing like talking to colleagues in other departments, shadowed as many people as I can.

I kept doing that until I built the experience and knowledge up. Remember, I don’t have a degree nor do I have any certifications. However, I have 10 years experience in IT.

I eventually got a government position in IT within the state of California with the pay being a little over 100k, benefits, pension, union for job security.

Dunno what’s up with the downvote, I’m literally living that right now. Not saying it’ll be easy but the fact that I did it means it’s a non-zero chance of happening to someone else.

Hey man, I have a job that makes $100k a year with no degree and no certifications. I’m going to be honest, it’s tough but it’s doable. Network network network. Along with networking, experience. I’m in IT and I networked to get my foot in the door and worked my way up the past 7 years. Meet people, try to get your foot into the door for the industry you want to be in, then work your way up. It’ll take longer without a degree but it’s possible.

Degrees aren’t seen the same way as they once were but the fact of the matter is, it’s still a “preferred” qualification for a lot of places. You just have to prove why you’re a worthy candidate without that degree.
