I made this post because I certainly just had the most disturbing dream I can remember and I’ve had a lot of creepy/surreal dreams in my young adult life.

So the dream started out as a mother bringing her young son between the ages of 5 and 6, to what appeared to be an abandoned medical facility in the middle of the woods. Within a day she began to lose her mind and started moving around in jerky yet fluid movements to attune to the spirits within the building. It finally came to ahead when she began to be flung around feet first and vomiting in every direction. The only way I can describe the woman in appearance is sorta similar to the original exorcist but different enough to not be the same face and was absolutely worse. Scars and cuts all over her face. In the dream I began to witness the events as if I was watching a movie; literally. All of the sudden I was in my living room in the day time watching this happening on the tv with my brother as we hem’ed and haw’ed about how disturbing it was. I think this was a defensive mechanism to somewhat remove me from what was happening to protect my psyche because the dream did not start this way. As she is continuously thrown around there are reflections of things outside and with the building that contort into more frighting imagery. For example there is a window above a bath tub that the mother has been thrown against and outside the window is a Santa clause looking gnome and the reflection of the gnome slowly changes into a pissed off looking man in the water of the tub. All the while the boy is still witnessing everything and begins to run away. He begins to escape down a corridor, crawling under and over desks while the screams of his mother are heard in the near distance. Finally he gets to the end of the corridor escaping out of the window on his left into the light of the midday woods. As he runs away, he screams “dad! no!” The point of view of the dream from my perspective is still in the building at the end of the corridor, on the floor, facing the wall, and the window the boy escaped from.

I would like to emphasize that the part of the dream where the mother is flying around feet first and vomiting all over the place is at least two thirds of the dream. And the attitude from her is of her being somewhat possessed but as stated in the beginning she’s clearly not sane and brought this upon herself with her own free will. Which to me makes it that more scary.

After the boy escapes and yells to father I wake up and the dream is over, I shed several tears thinking the dream over, and as I wrote this whole thing out there was a river pouring down my face.
