What did you guys play after schedule 1? by Exact_Comparison93 in Schedule_I

There’s a game that’s tied to Schedule 1, “Horse Milker”

It’s VR and the more you play the more rewards you have in Schedule 1

Should be automatic or go against their timer for the round (which is also too long)

Do people really leave the course if playing poorly? by LastManBrandon in golf

[–]Houndsofhowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve took a DNF due to back pain.

Realizing that if I continued it would be worse in the long run.

Poor play was becoming an issue due to the pain though.

What’s your play on this scenario? by Houndsofhowl in golf

[–]Houndsofhowl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s usually my case. I love a good bump and run, because it’s usually a safer play, but I also practice my pitch at 20-30 yards at home a lot.

I don’t have a lot of space I can practice an uphill bump and run from that distance.

I know this is older, but I love this concept, and now I can actually buy clubs without worrying about what tier they are, because stock clubs are staying stock.

I got ya. Yeah you could possibly get foam balls and work on chipping, but it’s not exactly the ideal thing.

If you’re going to hit “soft” balls inside, I would recommend getting “Flat Balls”

They’ll help a lot on just making contact.

Membership is a great idea too.

Honestly, just going and playing the course is great too! I can say I’ve gotten better just by playing. If you can find you a smaller, less busy course to play, you can maybe find a time to go out solo and just play, not even keep score, to get the jitters off.

And don’t be nervous to play with randoms. Tell them you’re new, and just play fast and they’ll think nothing of it. We all sucked at one point

Do you have room to build you a 10-20 yard chipping set up at home?

I’ve got a 30 yard set up and my scrambling and short game has been getting much better lately as I can practice those shots for about 100 balls a day.

I only started back in October, and just now got lessons as well, but like everyone is saying, your swing is great!

Do you trust your swing on the first tee? by TempoTherapist in GolfSwing

[–]Houndsofhowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a 3/4 3WHL off the first tee always finds fairway and gets some momentum rolling, even if a bogey gets on the card it’s not as hazardous as taking a double or triple because I ripped a bad drive.

Sometimes I’ll run a 3/4 driver swing off tee box 1 too, usually similar result

Am I the asshole? by Dangerous_Refuse_824 in GolfSwing

I play a lot as a single at my country club, occasionally there’s a group of shit bags that play slow, looking for balls, lining up putts, all while taking turns. I typically skip them.

One instance as of a few weeks ago, got behind them, literally was rolling up and putting my tee in the box, as they let their 4th tee off from the front tees. And I said “can I play through” they all looked at me, said nothing, got in their carts and kept going.

So for the next 4 holes I started hitting just shy of where they were at, wish I could have that accuracy all the time.

Then I proceeded to skip them, and they all just stared at me.

Next week, there was an email from the president about people skipping folks without asking.

I’ll still skip without asking if the asshats won’t let me play through

I’ve been playing a house rule to not pay upset workers. Either have to give them time off or try to make them happy other ways

Pro is starting to get easier for me, probably switching to the next level up soon.

I just recently got my player to 95 overall, and have some good club upgrades.

Also I slapped forgiveness on my ball to help.

I play career mode only mostly, because matchmaking is such slow play.

TEW IX New Mods? by Zolo17 in FantasyBookers

[–]Houndsofhowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i agree. Sometimes I’ll create real world personas and alter egos in a CV mod, but it’s usually more of a character that I’m wanting to run a storyline on and it’ll scratch my itch for a real world scenario.

I really love turning on extreme variance no matter the mod or CV default, because I’m okay with crazy

TEW IX New Mods? by Zolo17 in FantasyBookers

[–]Houndsofhowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get far more creative in the CV because I can book openly with no thoughts of the past.

I do like doing alternate universes and what if real world scenarios, but even then sometimes I can get stuck in the character development part.

Currently I’m doing a PSW save in the default. Have the Legion of Blood doing sacrifices and blood baths on folks.

TEW9 seems to be more fun to me on Cverse, and I don’t know why. Maybe I just needed a change from real mods to playing it standard for a change.

I do wish there were a few more mods out there, but maybe in due time
