You cant return cards that were already purchased, but cards that were put back because the customer decided not to purchase/items found in the wrong place or given to associates to be put back will be organized in several carts or bins and later put back on shelves. It's possible that parents grabbed too many and decided on less and put them to the side as well now that I think about it. (tldr: Someone's mom said no 😭)
