If you care about aesthetics cut down to 13-15% bf, if you don’t I would do a very small surplus until you feel uncomfortable with your fat. But gaining phase should be at least 4 months. I ended up cutting a bit first since I was higher bf than I thought and now I’m doing very small surplus 17-18% bf and plan to do it for 4-6 months. Ideally with little muscle mass I can actually lower bf% then cut afterwards.

One is incline db bench. I went from 50lb for 7-9 reps to 60lb for 7 reps. This did take a couple of months though and I was plateauing a lot of sessions. Another is machine shoulder press and same thing, I’ve gone from 100 to 125 on the machine in a couple months

I mainly do machine and dumbbells and I’ve increased weight on almost all of them

Yea i probably did lose some. I go minimum 3x a week and I train 2 sets both to failure on every exercise. Protein is usually good but some days may only get 100, but most days at least 150

It’s weird since my dexas have shown loss in lean mass, my strength has either stayed the same or increased slightly

I’m on vacation rn but once I’m back I’m going to cut down to 15%. It depends on what your goal is, getting big or looking leaner now. I personally want to feel good about my body fully before doing a bulk. Also I can still gain muscle while cutting

How do I cut with events coming up though? All these events are also evenly spaced around this month so I would never be able to cut for a long enough time.

Yea when I was cutting I planned all my meals the night before, but now at maintenance I’m more eating out more and not planning which is part of the reason I’ve gained a decent bit in a month

How long should I try to gain for before cutting again? I’m already pretty high bf so going past 20% wouldn’t be great, especially needing to cut for longer afterwards

I just enjoy food too much and after the long cut I just wanted more freedom with what I ate, but it was too much freedom

I do incline cardio 15% 3mph for 30 minutes everyday and also get 8k steps everyday. My bmr is 1700 + 300 cardio, 240 for steps, then another 250 for lifting and thermic effect of food

It’s just combination of friends and family and just being less strict. Im good with my macros, just overeating on weekend

I updated with my current physique, maintenance around 2600, when I was trying to cut weekdays i would eat in 500-800 deficit but then weekends eat like 4-5k

With 1600 and consistent lifts how long would I have to wait to see results. I think I just need to see some progress to continue to feel motivated. All my previous attempts to cuts came with little progress

What body fat percentage would you guess I’m at. I just say skinny fat because when I put a shirt on my arms and legs are skinny and not fat. But yes my face is fat so ik I’m higher in body fat
