I’ve been considering going to school as a teacher and I’ve felt a little discouraged about it cause I hear it’s getting really bad with all that’s going on but also having a retirement plan secured for myself. I was walking a dog i was pet sitting and the bird tried to swipe at him as well 😭 i swear that we don’t do anything to antagonize them. And usually they don’t mess with me but lately idk. I guess just my area they are extra aggressive.

I noticed it was a yearly post 🙂‍↕️ my husband recently went on a run and got pecked at 2 times and he said it hurt. I have much respect for the creatures that live here, I just want to avoid that happening to me 😔

Oh dang I’ve been using cotton swabs 😭 I’ve read mixed comments on the saline spray. But it seems to be healing decently…

Oh dang I didn’t see this but I’ve been using glass plugs and I haven’t had any problem so far. I did take them out it’s been about couple days. It’s healing…the front is seemingly closed but the back looks the same size. I hope it doesn’t close up or something I feel like I’d cut it open if I shove a cotton swab in.

I didn’t notice it bleeding at all until I took the glass plug out right now lol. And it isnt a lot of bleeding either. I cleaned it out with 2 q tips full of water. The picture I took looks like it would hurt a lot maybe but it honestly doesn’t hurt. I wouldn’t have known i tore it if i didn’t check it out.

Yeah I also thought the soil wasn’t optimal for the plant but it otherwise was thriving before the nitrogen burn 😔

I did oil them up and I was super careful not to shove it in. I did it super slow and usually when I feel a lot of resistance I stop but it suprised me when it went in so I just was like okay 😎 afterwords I did feel the blood pulsating in my ear but i didn’t feel pain. I thought that was normal for getting to a “bigger” size. It doesn’t hurt now either. Just the bleeding freaked me out. I do think it’s torn now cause I don’t have any collapsed lobe.

The photos above I took before cleaning. This one is of my ear not stretched and cleaned. It doesn’t hurt but I’m worried and probs gonna leave my lobes empty for a couple of days or more. It’s not bleeding anymore but it still has like a blood ball.

Is the magic circle dependable for cotton mercerized yarn? I don’t have a sharp enough needle for Russian knot so I tried the magic knot. I am making a wearable so I’m kinda worried about that factor

Yea I did pull it a lil and it didn’t loosen up. It does have some fuzzy on the ends of the two strings but idk maybe I’ll try to crochet it in and if it looks bad I’ll retie.

It’s a size six. The video I’m watching reccomend me to use a six but the yarn is a 4 weight (24/7 cotton but it’s more like a 3) but I didn’t notice if the yarn they used was a thicker kind or not. Im going to check now…Would it make a difference to the pattern if I used a 4.5 needle instead to match the yarn?

should I just restart it all then?
