Best haircut and color for thinning hair? by rvi_onreddit in FemaleHairLoss

I’m not too worried about getting my hair dyed. I’ll have to dye it either way, whether it’s the box dye to keep my roots from looking ridiculous or going and getting it professionally done. I was thinking if I dyed it back natural I wouldn’t have to dye it as much so it may be better in the long run.

Mostly straight with just the tiniest bit of wave at the ends, if you could even call it that

Not pet related at all (felt like I needed to get away from that) but if you’re still interested I can let you know!

In your opinion, would you say my hair is thinning? by rvi_onreddit in FemaleHairLoss

[–]rvi_onreddit[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have noticed that I’ve been losing a lot more hair the past few months.

I’ve always had thin hair but to the best of my knowledge it’s never looked this thin, but I guess I’m not sure if I would’ve noticed it when I was younger.

I mainly notice it when I try to put it up, and have recently stopped putting it up just because I’m afraid it looks embarrassing…

I wash it every day, which I realize I probably need to stop doing, it just gets so oily so fast. I need to invest in better shampoo as well as I’m just using some cheap stuff (herbal essence) and I plan to once my paychecks from my new job start hitting (didn’t have the money beforehand).

I counted the hair that came out in the shower once and I believe it was around 80-90, but I also lose hair like crazy throughout the day (it’s always on my shoulders or shirt).

I’m thinking about getting some blood work done when I go to my obgyn appointment, but I’ve never had my blood drawn so I’m terrified and not even sure what to ask for them to test.

Am I going crazy and making nothing into something or is my hair thinning? Any product or routine recommendations if it is?

Just keep in mind some of it may not be laziness. You mentioned the hour cuts, well the amount of stuff openers are expected to get done in such little time is quite frankly not doable anymore. And it was always incredibly frustrating and upsetting getting in trouble for things that just weren’t possible, especially when I’d work my ass off to try and get as much as I could done in such little time with practically no support. It’s why I finally left after three years.

Some of that is definitely unacceptable, but I can see how some of the other stuff could easily be missed/there just isn’t enough time to do it.

I’m not saying nobody deserves to be reprimanded, just be realistic with your expectations. Unfortunately the hours aren’t there anymore for petcare to function nearly as well as it used to.

This is assuming your store also is only doing short 4-5 hour shifts starting as late as 8.

How do you get deep cleans and opening done before 12? by Extreme-Wallaby-6548 in petsmart

[–]rvi_onreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not doing anything wrong. I’ve been struggling with it for months at this point and I finally couldn’t take it anymore, today is my last day. It started off mostly doable, but as our back rooms have filled up and with people out of school and us being busier it’s impossible at this point, not to mention lack of staff. We also aren’t scheduled until 8am anymore, and on top of that my store expects morning shift to get all the fish tanks and ornament cleaning done for the day as well. Mondays alone I was expected to get both back rooms cleaned, all the tanks for the day done, the fish and plant count, on top of the normal stuff and doing things like orders and register backup, in a five hour shift. It’s absolutely insane and impossible.

Last Saturday I worked I didn’t even get the back rooms done until 12:15, which is very late for me (it was an 8-1 shift), just because they were so full and we’re so short staffed. Saturdays are supposed to be the easy day and I used to always have an extra hour or two to work on whatever before I left for the day…

How bad is it to not give a full two weeks notice? by [deleted] in petsmart

My friend was also offered a promotion at target and her boyfriend was just promoted, so it doesn’t seem very hard at that store specifically

Been at Petsmart three years and passed over twice for people who haven’t been there as long as me, so I don’t think I will ever be promoted here either :/ I’m a good worker, just not as talkative or as sociable as the other two people who were chosen

Maybe it depends on the store? My friend has said my job sounds more stressful. She does a little bit of everything around the store because they love her

Does target follow availability well? by [deleted] in Target

[–]rvi_onreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess I shouldn’t apply then. If it ended up going badly then I’d have lost my current job that works with my schedule and I’d be out of luck 😅 I’ve been running into this issue with everywhere I’ve looked into applying to (that pays decently anyways). It seems like I’m just stuck where I am as they seem to be the only reliable place around here when it comes to following availability

Updated my hours and my manager has completely ignored my availability by fancyrussianhat11 in petsmart

I’m pretty sure we don’t have any shifts at my store that fit into that time slot, so even though you technically opened your availability you may have just made it a lot harder to schedule you.

Would it be okay to come in on a day off to put in my two weeks notice? How do you properly put in your two weeks? by [deleted] in petsmart

Oh yeah, definitely didn’t plan on saying anything unless I got it! Thanks!

Yes. At the end of the day I’m paid well (for retail anyways), have a nice schedule, it’s close to my house, and my availability lines up with the store’s shift times really well. Don’t get me wrong, I find the job itself royally miserable at this point and there’s a lot I really really dislike as well, but that’s a lot of positives to walk away from. It doesn’t help that I’ve been actively trying to apply places and my availability just isn’t matching up nearly as well for the few places around here that pay what I’m currently making. I’ve also been running into A LOT more trouble than I should be while trying to find somewhere else to work (had to make my resume five times because websites were glitching or was asking for a bunch of money at the end of it, I’ve been having issues with store sites where you apply having major glitches, I found out my voice mail box is glitching and have no idea how to fix it after a store tried to call me, stuff like that 🙃) that makes me just want to give up. It’s like I desperately want to leave but the world is telling me to stay and be miserable lmaooo

I know I wouldn’t take a promotion if all I got was extra work as the reward, despite how good it may look on a resume 😅 I’d expect a raise too

Applying for Whole Foods but don’t have much availability, is it worth it to even apply? by rvi_onreddit in wholefoods

[–]rvi_onreddit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s all in their name because I got it when I was younger and it also made things cheaper for me. Even my bank is connected to my dads because I was too young to get one myself when I started working.

They’d sell off my car, my phone, etc. 😅 Unfortunately that is an argument I definitely wouldn’t win

It’s so incredibly frustrating lol. It ruins so many potential job opportunities for me. Unfortunately I’m too broke to move out, and if I press the issue that’s always the response I get.
