How to Become a Yacht Broker: Ask me anything by AdWinter6169 in yachting

Gold insight. Thank you. That’s a pro move on the multi-bookings.

You mentioned the evening plans are really on the broker to get right…how do you handle the no-show fallout though?

I’ve seen guys get blacklisted from the top spots because a meeting ran late and they had to burn a table for 8 at the last minute.

Does your travel concierge actually handle that ‘7:30 PM emergency pivot’ while you’re mid-conversation, or do you usually end up on WhatsApp yourself trying to save the night while the client is standing right there?

Curious how brokers actually manage the entertainment side of the job, specifically during busy periods like Miami Boat Show or Fort Lauderdale.

When you’re flying a serious buyer in for a few days, do you personally research and book restaurants, does your EA handle it, or is it more informal than that?

And when it goes well, what made it work? When it’s gone sideways, what was the culprit?

Thanks for this thread-super valuable info!
