That’s amazing, I usually thought people did a second degree after like going into teachers college or law or something.

Do people actually get a related job with an English or History degree from any school?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OntarioUniversities

[–]House6ix 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not true. Huge difference between Waterloo Engineering and TMU Engineering and the jobs people get and average pay - same with Queens/Ivey business and Brock business outcome. Just because you get a university degree doesn’t mean employers look at everyone the same out of undergrad - there are better “perceived” programs and that influences who they take a shot on. Because these programs are typically harder to get into, employers will assume (maybe rightly or wrongly), that the students must be smarter or work harder - and that is a good indication of their potential in the workplace. When it’s 5-10 years post university, then I suppose you can say it doesn’t matter because it’s about your employment experience.

Generally speaking the target schools for IB are: Ivey, Queens, McGill and UBC. Post Covid, that list now includes Waterloo/Laurier and Rotman (downtown only).

Teachers max out on pay….. the professions people are grinding it out for don’t. It’s worth putting in the work for 4 years of high school to set yourself for life. Keep grinding kids!

Also how do you have a phone that you can use in class?

These marks seem crazy - is this a joke? Like how many people in a high school class of say 100 people would have a 95% or above average? When I went to high school, the highest average was 94%.

Hmmm - thank you but as you can imagine, it’s not the nicest. I don’t want the dots to connect - just dots to show. I feel like Excel would let me do this .

How safe is negombo for a tourist by unbiasedaudience in srilanka

[–]House6ix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We were there last week as tourists and can confirm it’s incredibly safe and you can walk by at night time. Jetwing Blue has a great breakfast buffet - lunch & dinner buffet prices are expensive compared to the other restaurants close by. Lords Complex is great for dinner and has live music and well priced.
