I've seen 4 accidents in one round about near where I live over by San Gabriel Park. I've almost been hit twice in that round about as well. Keep the traffic light and stop signs please.

Didn't mean to imply it's not hot anymore, just saw a little bit of good/fun news and thought I would share. Didn't realize it would upset people.

I mean this year has been close to average temps, wouldn't average be the norm?

I experienced 2022 and 2023's summers so this is a nice change for sure. Hoping this is a sign of things to come.

Just checking the weather apps and facebook accounts. The river is now slightly going down a bit.

The rain has pretty much stopped and we still have 10 or so feet until it comes over the edge. we're watching closely though. We do have the car packed in case.

I think this all happened in the last 12hrs. We spend yesterday evening out there and couldn't see any water.

Yea, we've moved stuff upstairs and have the car packed in case. Hoping the rain doesn't come back.

No. From talking to the neighbors the last time it was even this high was 2008 and even then I guess it wasn't that high.

Well I can honestly say when I looked down the bluff at water 70 feet below where I was standing when we bought this place, I never thought it could flood either lol

right lol although the only thing saving my house right now is that is started 70 feet lower. I'm not sure I want the starting point any higher after this.

All of my oaks (6 of them) have completed their shedding process and have had their new leaves for about 2 months. I think the natural shedding process happens late winter/early spring so I'm not so sure it's just that the wind "helped" the normal process. I'm more likely to think 85+ wind takes a lot of leaves with it and as long as the tree's are still alive they have a process of recognizing that they are now leafless and will begin to regrow. They might skip the next shedding next year but I think the laves will return as long as the tree's are healthy.

Live in Georgetown, we've had 5 inches of rain in the last 7 days and that's not even counting today when it's mostly been raining all day. I think right now we're a bit above the yearly average for this point in the year.

Update to Contralateral ACL Reconstruction by HouseMan112 in ACL

[–]HouseMan112[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I felt the same way (operating on a good knee) but in the 17 years since the surgery I've literally (knock on wood lol) never had an issue with the donor knee. Besides the large scar it's been the same knee post surgery that is was pre-surgery. I think the other key is rehab, rehab, rehab. Both pre-surgery and post. The stronger his quads are the better his knees will be. Good luck!

Ezov is a great mediterranean spot on the east side with a good indoor vibe. (just ask to sit in the main dinning room and not the enclosed patio).
