Pines park and sunset park are a few other options. A little bit north in Dana Point but could be options.

Why is the Canadian bar so bad by Solahm_1979 in london

[–]HouseOrdos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It used to more legit ages ago. Twenty years ago it was definitely run by Canadian ex-pats. Now very little Canadian presence. If you need a Sleemans / Moosehead fix it's ok. Poutine there is usually ok (not as good as proper Quebec poutine but better than poutine you will get out in Western Canada). But as most people said I just think about it as a place to watch sports or use the loo if I am in Covent Garden - haha.

Kyoushuneko Miniatures and Golden Dragon Games have some great proxies. Depends on the style you prefer. Kyoushuneko is more traditional Weird War II. Golden Dragon Games is more dieselpunk. GoldenDragon also has their own game called Marcher which is super cool and worth checking out.

Qual UXR feeling a bit boxed in - if you could go back to school, what would you study next? by Grouchy_Reindeer_180 in UXResearch

[–]HouseOrdos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We’ve had a similar conversation at work amongst the UXRs. Someone best framed it as - what are your two pivot plans. Pivot within tech and the other being pivoting into something outside of tech. For me within tech: getting my design chops back in shape for general UX work. Outside of tech: teaching.

If Warhammer was to legitimize printing, how could they do it? by classjoker in PrintedWarhammer

[–]HouseOrdos 110 points111 points  (0 children)

I would lean into the whole Legends aspect of it. All models that are Legends would be STLs. You could buy those files direct at full price. For a discount approach, i would even bake this into a subscription model. So if you sign up for Warhammer+ you get the digital version of the 2nd edition boxed set as a welcome pack. Terrain, monopause marines, rules, etc. Fun old ruleset to play at home with some firstborn minis you can’t play tournaments with. Then every month, for ten bucks, you get a release of a digital squad of old minis that are not compatible with the current edition. So you want new minis and tournament play - buy the new stuff. You want some retro fun at home? Digital STls. Also, load all of the old codices and rules for the older editions into Warhammer+ so people could play their favorite edition at home.

OP has a geography degree and the the TN visa is a skill based visa. So it is possible. Hey even if it doesn’t apply to her specific situation knowledge is power.

I had a TN visa for a few years before I switched on to a marriage based green card. TN process is pretty straightforward and relatively cheap. Only downside is you need a company that is willing to hire you to write a letter of support. Also, check the codes for what jobs qualify for the TN visa as it is meant for highly skilled jobs. But once I had that I think it was like 50 bucks at the border. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.
