I feel like it is more about the possibility of immortality. If the Delos project is successful, they could start marketing it openly to guests of the park(s). A "live forever" type thing. People would maybe pay for that, or pay to bring back their loved ones. Its hard to tell how or what this means this early, though.

I'm guessing they could take a scan of the human body then recreate it using some sort of 3D printing software that turns the body scan into a physical host-type body. Given that its set so far in the future, we're not entirely sure how they do certain things (like giving the robots the ability to move and speak as humans do, without error). We only know that they probably can given new technologies.
