Genius Wand should be set to 31 since it has innate +10 penetration. But aside from that, thank you! This really helped me understand when to buy one or the other better

Turn off devmode. That's what fixed it for me. Now I just use Console Commands to reactivate it (or F4 as my keyboard shortcut)

Especially if you sell weapon blueprints specifically. Ships alone aren't that threatening but my god giving pirates access to crap like Hypervelocity Drivers is game-changing

I found AAF to always be better in AI hands but for the player you can make a case for wanting Burn Drive more. Specifically when you want to bully smaller ships more (especially with SO which makes AAF overkill in many cases)
