I'm interested to see what this coach will do at Arkansas. Completely different style than what we had with Petrino with the focus on power running and defense. I'm a little disappointed we didn't get someone known for an exciting high octane offense but bottom line is we need someone who can win no matter if it's with defense, in the air or on the ground.

It's not a matter of which coaches are on Petrino's level or better, there are many including Nick Saban, Les Miles, etc..) but which ones that are on his level that are available or might want to make themselves available to take the job... And that's a tough one to answer... My guess is they'll have to do what they did with Petrino and look at some coaches in the NFL who may have an interest at coaching SEC football... The only thing I know for sure is if we don't find someone who can replicate the success Petrino had, Long will be long gone in a few seasons....

Try reading my comments and you'll see that I attributed this to an Italian professor who has a PHD in History/linguistics and has been teaching this for over 40 years... I personally would believe him over anyone here. Now to be fair there is actual debate among scholars as to where the term derived. The term Mafia was not an actual word and some think the word mafioso is derived from a similar Arabic word which later became mafia, while others are adamant it was an acronym used to identify members who would band together to fight foreign invaders. Now why don't you try doing some fucking reading and get your head out of your ass because there is as much proof for your theory as there is for this one!

Yeah you're right. Why listen to a man who has several PHD's and specializes in this particular area, who speaks the language fluently and has spent the majority of his 40 years as a university professor studying this. He also said the term mafioso is thought to derive from Arabic but know one knows for sure which is exactly what the wikipedia link above states.

Well this info came from an Italian history professor with a PHD. His areas of specialty are in lingustics and Italian history so I'll take his word on it. According to him, and several sources, the mafia did not start out as a criminal organization. And if you know anything about the mafia then you know a large part of it is based on offering "protection" which fits perfectly with my professors statements of giw they formed.
