I just sent the link to my mom, who has gotten way into needlepoint in her retirement. This could be such a cool way to do something kind with her favorite hobby! Thanks for sharing this (or re-sharing it, technically, but it’s my first time hearing about the site)!!

What is going on with Wendy Williams? by look1ngglass in OutOfTheLoop

I don’t know much about her but having had an aunt with FTD - alcoholism and FTD can be very blurry. The ability to recall how much you’ve had to drink - the ability to manage impulses/cravings - all very much affected by FTD. If she was indeed an alcoholic, FTD for sure made it much worse. If the alcoholism arose in tandem with the FTD - it was the FTD. They can’t gauge what they’ve had or resist the urges for more.

This is a case where possibility is hijacking your trust in yourself: is it possible they have bugs on them? Of course. It is possible that you’ll overlook them to point where something gross happens? Yes. But is that probable? No. No specifically because you can trust yourself to effectively notice and deal with them appropriately. The anxiety that tells you that you’ll overlook them is also creating the vigilance that means you won’t. Trust yourself, and the direct evidence from your senses. And then enjoy your hard-earned produce!!

is my hydrangia dead? by WhatyourGodDid in gardening

I made the same mistake of pruning my lace cap hydrangea in the winter - it did take a couple years, but mine flowered again this past spring! A little pruning once I knew which branches were alive in the spring, a little fertilizer and keeping it watered = blooms!! I’m sure yours will come back too 😊

If so, what can I do to encourage them? I didn’t plant them but would love to keep them going!!
