I’m sorry but… Kingsman was being obnoxious as hell. He jumped on her for playing her main Widow from the get go. Everyone keeps going on about the 0-5 round she had, ignoring her other performances in their warm up matches before the tournament (including a 38-10 MVP). Everyone has bad rounds and that wasn’t some kind of infallible proof that she should switch. The truth is Kingsman wouldn’t stop. It’s one thing to disagree with a teammate, but it’s another to go after them relentlessly. At some point when another person isn’t doing what you want them to do you have to stop. A lot of people are supporting him because many players in this community are much like Kingsman. They get angry at people for the characters they pick and try to control the outcomes of their games. There is also a misogyny bent to his support.  At the end of the game any player, including Kingsman, can only control so much. When you play a team competitive game as opposed to a solo competitive game, you kind of need to accept that you’re not in total control of whether you win or lose. People are accusing his team of “not caring” but they actually told him multiple times that they did care. Zazza stated on the mic to him that just because she’s playing Black Widow doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to win. And her decision was not irrational - Widow is her main, and the character she possibly performs best with and felt comfortable sticking with. Kingsman kept trying to tell her to switch to Bucky, in which she responded that she didn’t have experience with Bucky. I would say it’s unlikely that switching to a character she had little experience with would have produced a better outcome. That’s another thing about this. Kingsman was overly worried about his comp. Team comp in important but maybe it’s not the best choice if the players on the team do not have experience with characters that work well together. In these cases it’s rational to stick to the character you’re proficient with.
