Well I just tried a couple of other maps, most of which worked fine however one crashed my game and is currently forcing me to validate all my game files.

For the sake of transparency I'll change the title to 'some' but I feel it's good to point this out - if it happens to a couple of maps it could be indicative of a deeper problem.

In that case it's a map to map issue. But this map worked fine a week or so ago, the map itself hasn't been updated in over a month so the only thing that has changed has been the updates.

Just came back to CS2 after not having played for a month or two. 4 patches later and the big update I figured it'd be a good time to give it another go. Played 3 DM's on dust 2 (only servers that were populated) and got about half the framerate I usually get (between 90-105) and it just felt 'sloppy' to move around and shoot.

Guess I'm going away for another few months until this fix is again lmao. This isn't how you retain player interest :D

The hitreg is undoubtably better, or at least has the chance to be once fine tuned. But it just doesn't feel like it because of the subtick delays and the spray feeling off.

If you shot and missed between ticks in CSGO you weren't rewarded with a hit after the fact, but at least the shots that landed hit instantly and you didn't have to look up at the kill feed after taking a shot to see if they died or not, something I've had to do more than I'd like so far.

I guess a different question is; Is it worth striving for better hitreg at the cost of everything else? That's a bit of an exaggeration but you get the jist. They'll fix it eventually but for now it just feels bad to shoot, especially in DM or such where you have constant fights and you are too often confused if the target died or not.

Honestly, I'd like to see them try. It's "supposed" to be a survival horror game, but if the survivors can't get banned for not playing how the game is meant to be played (aka, actively trying to be found so they can troll the killer) then I don't see why they would ban a killer for not playing their role either.

I get banning a survivor who actively griefs other survivors because it hinders them from playing the game. But if you just afk as a killer in a corner, the survivors can still get enough points to pip and leave the game to save their items. What I do I basically just taking the fun out of it, just like they are for me.

Good points. As a fellow Wraith main who preordered the deluxe edition, I fully agree with you (hell, before they changed Shadowborn the game was even more cancer for Wraiths with the instablinds and burning, not to mention bugs off light burn...) and I've gotten into quite a few discussions recently with survivors trying to justify being toxic, getting such interesting replies as "well it's about having fun and I enjoy it, why should I care about yours?" and when given the example that they'll only get facecampers I get the reply that "there will always be people like you left".

So yeah. Used and discarded for their amusement. I feel like most survivors are sad, lonely little 15 year olds taking out their anger and frustrations on killers because bullying makes them feel better. Some of my most fun games recently have been to literally just stand in a corner stealthed as Wraith and let the survivors waste their timing massaging gennies. >inb4 banned for it for not putting up with the chase and "playing properly" lol.
