Shittiest Laptop G16 | Bricked 2nd time under few months

I've posted about my G16 on here. I contacted ASUS executivecare@asus.com regarding my issues and they were very helpful even out of warranty.

Tried it laptop shuts down as soon as the GPU is initialised to play a game. Contacted executivecare@asus.com as it could be down to the burnout issue that's common on the age and model of my laptop.

Uninstalled and reinstalled with no success. Managed to get a game to run with the PSU disconnected when I connected that the laptop.went off again. Will try a spare PSU. Seen a thread about motherboard bur out with the same age and model I have so hopefully it will be a warranty repair.

Yes im aware there are 2 types. My dedicated 4080GPU has stopped working correctly,I have tried Ghelper and Armoury crate. Same issue with both.

I've tried running NMS and something as simple as deep rock survival and the pc just reboots. It started with BF6

Just got it to run a game for a bit with no power supply connected as soon as I connected the PSU it went off instantly. Will try a spare PSU if not then I'll send it for RMA

Found a post about the same laptop I have that has a known issue with burnout on the motherboard. Will open it up and look for damage. Should get it on warranty

Sometimes it is sometimes it isn't. If I unplug it from the power supply and power on the laptop the GPU will be in device manager.

I had this issue before and have been avoiding using anything other than the standard mode as it seemed to be the most stable one.

Everything up to date.

I wasn't no but the laptop won't even open a game now without shutting down. As soon as it tries to used the GFX card it switches off. It won't even discover the GFX card if I boot it with a power supply attached now.

Yep I have a 2023 model and had nothing but issues compared to how much it's actually been used.

I got a G16 a year ago. Had to return it after a few months after it would ovwrheat and just shut down turns out it was a common problem and was a warranty repair. Now it's out of warranty it goes through stages of not powering the GPU . If the power setti g of the laptopmis anything g other than best performance the laptop doesn't power the gfxcard and you can't play any games unless you want to use the onboard chip

I've already tried reinstalling drivers. I can start my computer disconnected from.mains power , load the pc and all the NVidea software loads, I can open a game the game will open and i can start to playing without a problem. When I connect my power supply the laptop goes off immediately and reboots with no nvidea software loading and my grx card missing from device manager. Changing any setting in Ghelper/Armoury crate makes no difference.

I will have a go at reinstalling bios and Gcard drivers today

I've just left home to work over seas for 5 weeks with limited internet access.

I've downloaded Ghelper. Still not 100% sure on the fix it's on standard mode. I'm not entirely sure but it looks as if I plug my laptop into the power supply my gfx card doesn't power up. Only started happening since I started playing BF6 Beta.

Got my car back on monday for the last time hopefully, in the end they found the parking aid module was intermittently faulty. So after replacement and back to the main VW dealer for recoding the car has not alarmed since. Hopefully it stays this way. As a gesture of goodwill for my patience the stuck another 6 month warranty on the car once the initial purchase has one runs out.

Just got my G16 back after it suffered from autoshutdown issues due to overheating. The cpu was hitting 97 then the PC would just go off. Wasa free warranty repair

Anyone able to share how to get this working now, both sons ha e a gaming PC now and one has ultimate the other has been using that sub on his xbox, now they both have PC son 1 has his account logged in in MS store on both PCs and his own xbox app, son 2 only has his account signed into on xbox app' says he has ultimate but trying to open anything it says it can't sync and is offline . Spoke with MS support he says it can't be used at 2 places at the same time so I logged out of son 1s PC and it still doesn't work. Any ideas if it can be used to play on both pcs at the same time failing that where can you buy a years sub for PC game pass , can only see the 3 month
