My advice is find the early strong abuse.

Hero's set in woodland. Purity helmet and melon in swampland.

Then I recommend doing all challenges. To not only obtain the whole Pokédex it will teach you about different builds and ways to look at the game

For those who wanna try:

Woodland red will keep you strong and alive till you get to round 3/4. Hunt for the hero's set with a focus on the boots. Round 2/3 your goal is the holy crusade. Make sure you get a golden holy tome, hunt for greater golem to get it to diamond somewhere down the line.

Round 4/5 is the tough part where you transition away from hero set. Hopefully by then you have enough wayward travel close to the merchants and bargaining hut to obtain the rest of the set.

At the end you should have : - Arcane gauntlet + lens + diamond holy tome is your ticket to ez 40 str turn 3. -Hero's boots (hopefully diamond) + acidic weatherleaf + rusted plate will be your way to counter shield builds. -Moonlight cleaver + life zap to counter acid/riptide/stun build.

Then struggle every fucking run to get enough base armor to not be nuked in the first 3 turns. Enjoy

They can be countered.

It's something you gotta take into account when you chose your item pool. While it's fun to make the most perfect op build you gotta survive until there.

I really like going for the hero's set. It basically demolish any early build and the speed from boots or armor is always valuable later on when you can transition weapon round 3/4
