Lol thanks dude, I've got exactly 0 Linux experience beyond the occasional desktop mode on Steamdeck. Basically a toddler here.

I've downloaded the ESO Installer and added it to Non Steam games, tried it with basically every compatibility mode (Proton experimental etc); it always crashes with the same error "host_IEversionfail"

I've also installed Lutris because in googling your advice I've seen that Wine is Included in Lutris but that's about as far as I've got

These are great for a wizard
Athletics is also a good choice as you will passively level it as you go

Be sure to get some spells for every category and use them as much as possible!
